2000 WS Power steering fluid question
I have see some posts recommending to flush the power steering fluid to get rid of the growling noise. Some of the posts recommended using Mobile 1 fluid. Does this refer to Mobile 1 motor oil or is there a Mobile 1brand of transmission fluid. I am not really familiar with synthetic fluids. My van is 2000 Windstar.

Re: 2000 AS Power steering fluid question
Ford recommends using Mercon brand Transmission Fluid in the power steering system -(do not use Mercon V by the way), both tranny fluid and power steering fluid are similar in their hydraulic fluid composition.
So the recommendation is for the Mobil1 transmission fluid in this aplication!
