Finally Bought a motor!!!

Ok guys, I finally bought my motor!!! I'm so happy! I just bought a D16Z6 (95 EX) motor today. I got it from my friend Carlos. He swapped it out for a B16A2. I got the whole setup; complete motor! I got it for 200 bucks. I saw it run good b4 the swap. That car wooped up on every non-vtec car around here.....but it will be even faster in my car cuz my car weighs little more than a dictionary. It has 102K miles on it but that's nothing for a honda motor. That's still considered new for a Honda motor. The only downside is that I'm gonna have to retain my LX tranny until I have the money for the 89-91 Si tranny. This will be one quick ass sedan! But it wont go in for like 2 or 3 more weeks because the only thing it is missing is the distributor. I have to find a 95 EX dizzy somewhere.....also I need to order the conversion harness for it because I'm using the P28 ECU. Right now the motor is sitting in my friends garage. I can't wait to whoop up on my best friends 99 teg LS. He's always talking shit. He's gonna shit his pants when he hears my vtec kick in! He's always wanted vtec.....LOL......I can't wait. When the time comes....I'll post pics of the whole swap. 125 HP + Vtec + 89 civic LX = 1 bad ass sedan!

NICE dude..and the price is right too!

The LX tranny isn't so bad..the gearing is the same as the Si...but the LX has a taller final drive so it takes a little longer to get the revs up...but I think you'll like not spinning 4000+ RPM at 80 MPH.

Since the engine is out of the car...think about replacing things like a timing belt, water pump, etc.. also adjust the valves and make sure none of the seals leak oil (rear main seal, dizzy seal, etc.)..they are SO much easier to replace when the engine is on the ground or on a stand and NOT in the car. Don't forget to get OEM parts for a 95 EX, and get them here - www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

good find yo!

blade - i did that too...when my car was completely stock (even stock fuel filter with 150K miles on it, I ran 18.078 @ 74

I am hoping for 15.7-ish with the ZC

DOHC ZC, I,H,E, urethane bushings and mount inserts, rock chipped hood, some rust, stock steelies, nice comfy Integra seats, and the A/C works! What else could you want from an 18 year old car with 241,000 miles? Working on getting the Si tranny in now
