OMFG Please help me!

My car just decides to shit in like 2 different ways all at once. You ready for this one guys? Ok, so I'm driving this chick home who lives like 10 miles outta town. On the way to her house, while driving the rpm's start dropping and I feel power loss, but my foot is still on the accelerator, so first thing that comes to my mine is "lockup!, shut this bitch down!" without hesitation I shut the car off immediately and check the oil, fluids (it's like midnight btw and I have no flashlight or oil anyway...) but the oil was okay, and I was wondering wtf...so I crank her back up, and she ran fine again for about a min.. then it happend again. It wasn't getting fuel for some reason...it would studder real bad and the more i pushed the gas the more it just wouldn't go..it got so bad to where i couldn't even get it above 2 grand, even out of gear...if I tried to rev it out of gear, it would just cut out like there's no fuel getting to it whatsoever...so that was the first problem...i talked to her dad who is a mechanic and he said it's probably the MAP...so I said I'd check it out with you guys...then on the way home everything was fine...untill I was crusin along at like 65 and then BAM the car just went out of gear, while the stick was still in gear...i switched it back in to a lower gear and tried to accelerate, it worked for about 3-4 seconds then did it again...every single gear I did it in, it was doing it...It would get in and out of gears fine, but could not stay in one for more than 4-5 secs without it popping out...WTF!!!!! Then the fuel deal started up at the same time! So I had to keep it in 2nd gear and it kept trying to pop out every 4-5 seconds but i found that sometimes it wouldn't pop all the way out...but I couldn't accelerate 'cause of the weird fuel problem shit...so WTF HAPPEND TO MY CAR? Please help in anyway possible!! I have no damn idea!!

Anything! It's weird....I mean, I have a new DX tranny waiting to be put in, so I really don't give a shit about the tranny, just sucks cause I need the axles and hubs and don't have the money to do all that right now..., but the fuel shit's weird, the mechanic said I need to check my MAP...'cause he said that when that went on his car, it had the same symptoms.

Check your Distributor cap, rotor and coil. It could be a bad distributor. My car did that and i had to replace the whole distributor.

could it be a problem with something in the tranny causing mad friction making it hard for the engine to rev...something with the clutch or pressure plate possibly...could also explain gear problem...just a thought

if it was a sensor, it would be throwing a check engine light.

Some of the suggestions above are good, some not so good. But, I'll give you my thoughts too: - I have no suggestions on the tranny tho...

The MAP sensor should be the key. If you have a leak in the intake manifold, that will create a lean condition (too much air) maybe causing your issues. If your MAP sensor isn't showing up any codes in the ECU try this: Spray some carb cleaner onto the intake manifold where it bolts to the head. If it runs better, you may have some air leaks...also..check carefully for vacuum leaks in all of your vacuum lines. They can cause issues also, and make the car run like ass.

Yeah I had the same problem where the car would just seem to lose power. I changed out my fuel filter, had my injectors professionally cleaned, and made sure the fuel pump was okay. Problem hasn't happened since. I was throwing a code 16 when this problem started happening, and the problem no longer occurs, but I still have the Code 16. Oh well... this motor just has to last one more year for my B20 or B18.

Well, I can usually hear my fuel pump turn on (like about a 2 second buzz from the rear) but last night, right before all the shit started happening-it made a different sounding buzz, and this morning the damn thing won't buzz at all, so the cart doesn't start at all now. I thought the elec fuel pumps worked or they didn't, never heard of one going, going then gone.....btw i changed my fuel filter within the last 6 months.

Thanks for all the advice guys..any more ideas? Guess I should start at the fuel pump now huh?

Oh yea btw did I tell you guys that my car survived an electrical fire? I don't want to explain how it happend or you'd want to smack me but anyway-it happend like 6 months ago and I just noticed that the distributor is like warped and shit, so I prolly will need to get a new one sooner or later-I'm surprized the damn car still runs!
