If you have a turbo 2.0l .....size is not a restricting factor. I put down PLENTY of HP with my 2.0.

There is a 2.4 liter that uses the same block I think, I know its pretty much a direct swap.

he is right there is a 4g64 motor that is from the same family hence it is the same block. However the only ones that will put down more power are the new one in the Spyder but you can purchase an old one from a Mitsu. Mighty Max or a Montero and due swap or custom parts.

you could always get a 4g64 motor out of a 96-99spyder and turbocharge it, it puts out 141hp with 147ft/lbs torque STOCK for a SOHC. get either a 16g or 20g turbo and bolt it up on there. a good motor if you ask me, but you can't rev it past 6500 rpm's(longer bore & stroke, it can't handle it)

You can do a VR4 swap in the eclipse but if u have a GSX it would be a lot easier although it will run you about 25 Grand for everything i know a guy who did it over seas with upgrated turbos its a very tight fit but it does fit and the power omg i could describe it even if i wanted 2 lets just say 1/4 mile 9.32 at 156 mph

I'm working on the VR4 swap in my eclipse i just need to find a cheap wrecked VR4 and i got it from there on ill do all the labor which is very expensive in custom swaps and buying new engines and trans is very expensive it should not run me more than 10 Grand around there thats because ill be rebuilding the trans, engine, upgrate the turbos, etc.

FIRST which model eclipse do you have if its a RS/GS your screwed unless you have crazy money if you have crazy money buy a new car for cheaper than a swap in a gs if u have a gst/gsx what more are you looking for if u want to spend money on a motor swap just dump it into the motor the amount of money u are talking about u could easly have a 11sec car
