only thing diffrent is the tranny and hubs and spindels and other little extras the dx's and si come with.

if its slow use the front hubs and spindels and drop a b motor considering that the dx is 5speed. which it sould be..

look sooboss i don't have the cash for that, basically yes they are both dpfi but i already know the throttle body changes per year and i don't know if the electronics are simular enough from the dx to the std. is there anyone out there who has tried it. and sooboss chill out, and is it just me or is there anyone else who is getting tired of all the people answering all the reasonable questions about mild power increases w/ "you should just get a b seriese engine." if i could afford that i'd pay people to do crap for me. please please stop, and if i'm out of line by making this request please lemme know. i'll stop if so.

i like your die mustang die even though my girlfriend's dad drag races classic mustangs and corvettes. i'm sorry didn't mean to offend it's just that i really can't even afford to order pizza right now let alone buy a sandwich at a resturant and i'm looking for options that don't cost me jack squat cept time which seemes to be all that i have.

The electronics on the motor will work within any year (from 88-91). As far as I know, the DPFI manifold is the same throughout the years also. So I wouldnt swap the dx manifold with the STD manifold.

Your best bet, is to pickup the MPFI swap, and go from there. Other than that, dont waste your time swapping things over unless needed.

whatever the case, use the DX throttle body and ECU. the STD has many restrictor plates to make it 70hp instead of 92. I foudn this out through taking apart a DX and an STD. they are defeinately differnt.

replace the STD throttle body and throttle body "spacer plate" (you'll see waht i mean when you take it off" with a DX version. then replace the ECU with a pm5 and ditch that pm9 you STD dudes have. you should pretty much have a DX if you have a DX 5 speed tranny then..
