I'm think'n about gett'n a Skyline R33 but I have some questions that hopefully you guys can answer...First, what is the difference between a GT-R & V-Spec? Which one is better? What do you think is the lowest price I could find for a R33?( I'm think'n about getting it from RB Motoring).........

simple pimple

gtr = standard 4wd and "276"bhp
v-spec = same as above but more carbon fibre
obviously v-spec is better
i think that rock bottom you could pick one up for £15,000

That is not correct. The R33 GTR and GTR V-Spec never had carbon fibre from the factory.

The major differences are in the drive train. The Vspec has a upgraded ATTESSA system, mechanical diffs, white faced gauges, and slightly different front bumper. The interior is very simular with only the seats being slightly different in colour and shading.

Your probably looking at around $40,000 USD in the states for either. A lot will depend on goodies that are on the car when it comes in.

The rear diff in the Vspec was different, and had different ratio than non Vspec.... giving it "longer legs"..... I think it had Active LSD too.... white face gauges were an aftermarket option I think, I haven't seen a Vspec with white face gauges. The suspension was also different, harder and lower. Interior, the stitching on the Vspec was purple..... I also think the front rotors on the Vspec were bigger too

If you can, get the Vspec as it will out handle the non Vspec easily.

R33 VSpec difference

The VSpec has 10mm lower and stiffer suspension, an 'active' rear LSD, upgraded 4WD computer (ATTESSA ETS PRO) for moderating the torque-split a bit differently and a force air duct for the brakes in the front indicator mount.

Most VSpecs have an extra 'lip' on the bonnet to help force air into the radiator.

You can tell (aside from the sticker) by looking at the rear diff. It it has cooling 'fins' (like a heatsink) then it's a VSpec. Otherwise - it might have the $45 sticker upgrade

The gauges (white or black) were a Nismo option - the speedo reads to 320km/h rather than 180km/h - the tacho goes to 11 . Stitching on the interior is the same. Series I and II have blue, III has red. Series III cars also have a lower front spoiler, N1 'nostrils' in the front bar and a rear foglamp.

The VSpec N1 has a carbon fibre diffuser under the front skirt. Steel-blade turbos, no aircon, no radio (not even an aerial) and all the usual VSpec bits. The N1 was a series II car only.

My 90 GTR has fins, and its not a V-spec. You cannot just depend on looking at the diff. Is there any other way?

The cooling fins are in reference to an R33.
Standard = smooth diff casing, VSpec = Finned diff casing.

I will run down and take a photo at when I find my camera's USB cable

I'm not sure about the R32 - except that VSpec and VSpec II cars were only available in VERY limited numbers and then only in later model ('93/'94) cars.

Wow, you have a lot of Skylines. Man I wish I had one. I am sure since you are a salesman, you would have a lot of pics for advertising.

Can we see pics?
