Post "Trip on Gulliver's planet" exhibition - 5 & 6 june (!!New pics added!! - 56k beware)

Hi,

for each exhibition our club visits or takes part, I'll try to do a report asap with the best cars, bikes and trucks. I began with "Mini-rally" exhibition. Here is the last one.

On 05 & 06 june, happened the "Trip on Gulliver's planet" show, organised by the MRF, modeling club of Ligny - Fleurus ( Belgium ). We missed this show for the last 3 years, but this year we took part.

It's a little exhibition, organised in a sport hall. A great variety of modeling is shown, from figures to military, ... with a little contest. They didn't get a lot of visitors this year, +/- 150 for the w-e. It was very boring and the sun was shining so it was difficult to stay inside. We all were outside taning or smoking

We could find there some good kits, the most expensive was at 20€ and the cheaper at 7€. I bought 3 kits at 7€: a Tamiya Skyline R34, a Tamiya Evo5 WRC and a Tamiya Porsche 959.
Skyline and Evo for parts and the 959 to build box-stock ( in my long "to-do" list). I marked the good kits with arrows.

and now the pics...

and this one , just for fun, I know that some people here like mountain bikes so ....

I'm still waiting other pics from a friend so a little update soon.

Hope you liked the pics.

Most of the Foci ( 1 Focus: 2 Foci but I'm not into Latin ) were done by a famous modeler , well known on the belgian modeling scene: Hugo Maingain. The european members have certainly seen his work in magazines. He sometimes works for Renaissance.
He is also a

Do you know belgian driver , François Duval He begins a great career in WRC with Ford.

Some very tempting cars were available there !
Nice to see some perfect-built rally cars, and you gotta love the half-diorama's !

Oh, and if we all do agree that the focus, when not alone, is calles two foci, then we might as well change automotiveforums to automotivefora ?

Sounds stupid to me, but yeah, foci sounds ok!

btw, nice foci on that show!

Talk about a mugshot!

I almost missed this thread, and I think many others did so as well, so up she goes!

I like the models in these pics, especially the US army Panoz!
