BMW E30 320i Racecar

Hey Guys!

Finally finished my first commissioned build & handed it over to a very happy lady! I'm pretty stoked with how it came out esp considering how intensive the paint & decal job was, I hadnt built a racecar in quite a few years.
The kit was an old 1980s Fujimi motorized kit (still comes with the battery pack etc), Not the best kit ever made, theres no suspension detail, brakes etc. There was also Alot that either needed modifying or completely new parts, the entire interior is scratchbuilt. But again im pretty stoked!

Firstly heres some pics of the 1:1 car I was asked to build.

The Soon-to-be happy owner!

The Completed Interior

Presentation Box

Also supplied a glass case

Also designed up & printed a starting grid!

Thanks to all those who followed along the WIP

thats a really nice build. With all the work you put in it must have been hard handing it over to the owner.

Thanks for the heads up on the decals. Its nice to know there is a local company offering this service.

Excellent job, interior and livery are very well done. I am also doing one of these Fujimi E30 BeeEmms and decided to cut and raise the roof because I thought it looked too low compared to the real car (their E30 M3 is the same). and also modify the front grille and bonnet which Fujimi have not modelled correctly.

You've done a great job, despite the horrible quality of the kit your build looks quite convincing.

Thanks! Yes i considered raising the roof too but was apprensive about my skills to pull it off correctly. I belive the expensive Renaisance Resin M3 Kit is correct....

Yes it was rather hard to hand over, only my 2nd one given away, but the reaction was diffently worth it!
