Tamiya/Eighty One Rocket Bunny 86

This is the Tamiya kit with Eighty One's Rocket Bunny body kit added. Eighty One's parts need quite of bit of cleanup in various areas, priming and putty are needed to make them presentable. The fit of the parts were generally pretty good.

I'm not liking GT wings on street cars anymore so I made an integrated spoiler using styrene and putty. I also grafted a Subaru hood scoop into the Tamiya hood. I left out the stock radiator grille and installed some of Tamiya's plastic screen material. The body was sprayed with Cobra Colors Grigio Titanio and cleared with U-Pol.The wheels are Hobby Design Rays Volk RE30's painted a mix of TS-8 and TS-49.

I sourced my parts box for some better seats and put some Bride decals on them which have a graduated gray graphic. The interior was panted with Acryl Aircraft Interior Black and Guards Red then sprayed with semi gloss clear.

It is a curbside build, no engine.

Man that thing looks perfect Brian.
Nice job all around with your design.

It was great to get caught up last weekend and see this one in person.
Keep it up!

nice adaptation of the hoodscoop and the new trunk ducktail. funny thing is, the v2 rocket bunny kit switched to the ducktail too hehehe.
