Need help with exhaust system - intermediate pipe?

Hello! We have a 1992 Honda Civic DX 1.5L 4-door sedan. The other night, went to pull out of parking lot and suddenly the car sounded LOUD, like the muffler had come off. The pipe that was going into the catalytic converter was disconnected. Took it to mechanic friend to see what we would need, he says an intermediate pipe, 2 gaskets and the bolt set (with springs). He said it's good going to the front, which is a good thing. Just had the muffler replaced last year.

So I've been looking online for this pipe, but I get different results - I keep coming up with resonator pipe set. Can someone tell me what the heck I need so I can get this thing repaired? And is it a simple fix (i.e. that one can do themselves)?
