2008,Ford Focus No Reverse Automatic

I have a 08 Focus that will not go in reverse. I have power and speed in the rest of the gears. It will shift into reverse, just acts like neutral. Speedometer works and check engine light is not on. This is my girlfriend car she called me this morning saying she has no reverse. I drove it fine last night. Any suggestions? I plan on looking at it tomorrow and checking the cables and replace the filter. The car has 80k'ish miles on it.

They were common for the end cover rings putting grooves in the reverse clutch drum. Don't waste your time with a fluid and filter change. Swap it out with a junkyard one. We get the trans here for like $75 delivered 48k miles on it. Is the fluid dark and burnt?
