Audi has a 5 valve cylinder head. Yamaha has a six valve cylinder head.

Honda (I believe it was) had an eight-valve per cylinder motorcycle engine in production. It featured an oval cylinder which was basically two cylinders with the walls eliminated. It was quite intriguing.
Six-valve per cylinder heads have been in development for years. Besides the Yamaha engine mentioned, Maserati was working on six-valve heads in the 1980s (although I don't remember any ever going into production). |

Sounds like a pain in the ass
. Makes you wonder why not just strap a supercharger/turbocharger rather than screw with all those valves. In my experience, the mentioned Yamaha head doesn't last long till the valves are burned. I wonder how reliable these heads are in real life.
