depending on the driver, or the mods. It would be a good race.

The CL-S takes the cake. According to Edmund's an Integra Type R weighs 2672 lbs, has 195 hp [a ratio of 13.7 lb.s/hp] and can do 0 to 60 in ~ 7.1 sec. A CL-S weighs 3510 lbs and has 260 hp [a ratio of 13.5 lbs/hp] and does 0 - 60 in 6.57 seconds (automatic tranny). A manual tranny will do 0-60 in ~ 5.9 seconds. The CL-S also has 232 lb-ft of torque compared with a puny 130 lb-ft for the Type R. By the time the two cars have traversed a quarter mile the CL-S should be at least two car lengths ahead. BTW: the 260 hp rating is on the conservative side. This year Acura is publishing a rating of 270 hp for the same engine.

When I bought this car I compared it with cars like the 300M & the Cadillac Seville which ostensibly share a similar power to weight ratio. The Acura was waaaayy faster!!

Re: CL Type-S vs Integra Type-R??

how do you think they managed to get that extra 10 hp? it's funny, nissan did the same thing. the 02-03 maxima's have 255 hp and the 04 with the same VQ35 engine make 265.

Where did you get the 7.1 sec for the Type-R ? If you look in any respectable magazine like motortrend, etc you'll see that they pull of a 6.2 sec 0-60 and I've seen 1/4 miles as low as 14.6 for the Type-R in a magazine. I've read a thread were a guy supposably ran a 14.3 in a stock Type-R but I don't know if that's true. So really between those two cars it would be all driver.

From the factory the CL-S is 2nd fastest only to the NSX. Stock it beats both the ITR and the RSX-S in the 1/4 mile. I believe it runs somewhere around 14.6-7 range, and probably faster on better tires.

doesn't the TL type S pull a little faster than the CL-S, making it second to the NSX? i remember looking at a chart in motor trend that showed the TLs pulling only fractions faster than the CLS in both the 0-60, and quarter

the type-r probably does run a 7.1 0-60 when they do those tests they dont launch, they just floor it.
on kazaa it shows a type-r and a cl run a 1/4 both stock and the cl one by 3tenths
