Questions about the Pug

This is a question to the rally fanatics: Do all Pugs (independent of the body color) have the interior and chassis (under) painted in Aluminum color? I’m working in the 2001 Portugal “Havoline” Pug. The body color is black, but I have doubts about the other areas.

First of welcome to AF Dirty Runner nice to have another rally modeler on board!

From my observations all WORKS 206s have a silver/aluminium chassis, rollcage and interior. Even when they were white or the current Marlboro red. Having said that there is probably an excption to that rule somewhere!

Privateer cars on the other hand are a different kettle of fish. I've seen a few with white rollcage and chasis. For example Toni Gardemeister's Grifone 206 from early 2001 was white inside, as was the red Kronos run car from the 2001 Polish series.

I guess the only answer is to check some refernces for the car you're building. But you are wise to not just assume it is silver.

BTW thanks for the pic of the black Havoline car, there aren't many of it around since IIRC it burnt to the ground during the 2001 Portugese Rally. Got any more?

Hey Phil.

Now I understand why I don’t have more pics of this black pug (it burnt… ). I only have these Acropolis Rally pics, that I suppose were made after the Portugal Rally fatality, because the Pug has Silver color (I think that was another Pug):

Regards.
Cris.
