My Aoshima Miata used to wear some big Pegasus rims, looked good for about 5 minutes...they were too big, too ponderous. They didn't "fit" the look of the car. They were so wide they looked goofy.
XS Tuning rims are a direct replacement. They fit perfectly (they have the Tamiya/Aoshima/Hasegawa style pin molded in place). Before: Middle: I decided to use these rims on my Kaminari Celica. After: I also lowered it a bit, and re-detailed the headlight lenses a bit more accurately. This pic I played w/the color settings to see it more in the factory color vs. the orange I painted it. One thing for sure, this model is 100% cooler now than before, and the fixes took about 30 minutes.

A sensible wheel selection. I agree, Pegasus Hobbies wheels very rarely look good beneath much of anything import. (I think there was an orange Dodge Stealth floating around here that proved this point perfectly)
