throttle body

is there anyway to take a 1g eclipse nonturbo TB and put it on a 2g nonturbo? i have heard that the opening in the 1g is bigger, can anyone help me with this? ya know my master kung fu tech of dsm says i can put like 8 TB's on it if i wanted to and do 7 turbos with 5 fuel pumps and it would fit, lol, wait.......oh shit i think it may be the same tech who gave liquified56 his info, hell i could dip into the 4's with them mods according to him

LOLOLOLOL A big for that post.

Anyway to answer your question...you wont be able to put a 1G N/T TB on your 2G N/T. The 1G motor is a 4G63 and your's is a 420a. Well come to think of it....I don't know for sure but I would imagine that the throttle cable hookup would be on the wrong side of the TB since 1G motors have the air cleaner on the other side of the engine bay. I don't even know if the bolt spacing is the same on the mitsu engine and the chrysler one. Just look at your TB and find a pic or go look at a 1G TB and see. Although I doubt its practical if possible because I've never seen a 2g N/T with a 1G TB.

But you could always be the first.
Just research it and post back what you come up with.

yeah i will be going probablly friday to look at a 1g TB N/T, i know the turbos wont work because the engine is the opposite of my 420, but never looked at a n/t 1g, well i will let ya know, would be a major gain for me if it works, if not i guess i am still a
