h22 swap

im about to do an h22 swap into my 4th gen accord. The guy im buying it from said that the f22 tranny will work okay but the gears will grind when shifting at high rpm's. Thats the first i heard of that, is it true for every swap? Also is there any difference in a JDM h22a from 92 and one from 93? thanks for your help

im guessing the grinding in the gears is because the f22 tranny wasnt built as strong as an h22 tranny? i could be completely wrong...but it kinda makes sense with the power difference. kinda.

Tranny only grinds if its bad. It has nothing to do with what that guy told you. Most ppl think that u can't use the f22 trans with h22 cause f and h dont mix but it does. F22 is good for turbo though if your gonna go that route keep the trans.

no more than with an h22 tranny it just has longer gearing so you wont accelerate as fast (n/a) and just get the helms. its worth it.

You're not gonna lose any power its just longer to accelerate.

anyone know anything about swapping a OBD II H22 motor into a 93 accord? lend me a hand yals, thanks... i need wiring help... i got a helms, manual, but then some plugs are different from the others and wont plug. so i re-wired them to make it fit, but there are still some missing connectors to connect to the motor... also i have another question, can i just use the OBD II H22 engine wiring harness and use the H22 chasis harness and just connect that to my car. and can i just use that H22 chasis harness and plug it to the ECU onlt, and leave the other plugs unplugged...
