Completed Jaguar Mk. II

It's done!

Bob Downie's final assembly advice came at just the right time -- a little sanding helped the body drop down properly over the interior/chassis. And as I was warned, the self-adhesive chrome strips didn't stick like they were supposed to, so I replaced them with thin strips of Bare-Metal Foil.

A full how-to feature article on this model is scheduled to appear in the December, 2003 issue of FineScale Modeler.

Hope you like it!

Matt

Thumbs up Very nice!

Very nice results there! Glad I was able to help, I wish I had known of those tricks (body to interior)when I built mine...which was immediately after it's intro.

Un-freakin-believable.

It looks amazing. Your paint colors are spot on. I'm beginning to love the classics more than the current generation of cars.

Great work

Glad you like it!

The D-type is a very nice cast-resin kit from Fisher Model & Pattern:
