Car dies after 3 seconds

my car dies after 3 seconds? not sure what it might be....should i hear the fuel pump turn on everytime you turn the key? i can hear it go on when i try to start it up for the first time, but then after it dies and i try again i dont hear it go off again and it starts for about 3-4 secs and then dies again. please help yo!

could be a bad fuel filter

Check your filter your main relay thats the thing that you hear click when you first turn the key and the engine light comes on. If its neither one of those check the fuel filter.

just replaced fuel filter....and i hear the main relay click

is there anyway to test the fuel pump....i did a pressure test and it was reading between 35-40 psi.

if you unscrew the "out" fuel hose from the filter, you can see if its pumping through the filter.

2) pull up the carpet on the pass floor, ecu is under there.....look for the codes there

replaced the main relay last night and i hear it click when i turn the key, but i cant hear the fuel pump pressurize anymore. please help

Check your pump wiring....sometimes the connections get corroded, or come loose...

That happened to me this past winter. Hit a snow bank, and my car shut off 10 mins later. Took me 20 mins to shovel my way under the car so I could get to it. I was like...

anybody have any idea why the pump does not pressurize. i switched the main relay last night. please help...anything else i could check? any pics, diagrams, or website?

what wires could i check to see if there is power going back to the fuel pump. please help.;....anyone
