carbon fiber hood
does any one know how to repair a carbon fiber hood? is it even possible? hood has scratches, a little part is chipped of? thanks

I need to know how much your carbon fiber hood weighs? Everyone on this forum doesn't know. And the weight in lbs. of your stock hood? Don't be the guy who bought it because it looks good.

I did...I called the local Honda dealer and asked them how much a stock hood weighed for a 1997 Accord and they didn't know. My friend and I wrote an email to a few companies about it and they said that they didn't know they just order them and sell them? So we just gave up.

carbon fiber is heaver than fiberglass, if you really want a light hood go fiberglass, if you like the way that carbon fiber looks then go for carbon fiber. my friend has a carbon fiber hood on his del sol and my fiberglass hood w/ a hood scoop feels a lot lighter than his hood. carbon fiber is a cosmetic thing, if you like the looks buy it, if you want it to be light, buy a one piece fiberglass front end from www.mmrusa.com
