New Maxima

Does anyone agree that the new maximas have taken a turn for the worst in styling. I mean the power is amazing, but the new body looks cheap. And they have raised the prices up way to high. I have a 2000 maxima and it coasted like 7k less thatn what they do now. Any1 agree?

They're nice cars. i just don't think they should be maxima's. it should have been introduced as a totally new nissan car.

the new Maxima also shows no mercy on its Nissan stablemates: It'll stomp the normally aspirated 300ZX, and drivers of automatic-transmissioned 300ZX Turbos best not be snoozing when the light goes green.

i think the 4th gen is the perfect example of what a maxima should be. the 5th 1/2 gens are awesome too. but i'll always have a fondness for 4th gens.

If Nissan was to clean up the new Max's front grille and rear end plus give it either a 4.0 V6 or the V8 from the Infiniti M45 slightly underpowered and then tuned the gearing to be a little bit more aggressive on the bottom end (on the 3.5) you would have more people here and on Maxima.org trading up their current Max for it.

However, overall it is a pretty decent car for the money despite the ugly grille and fat a$$ rear end.

on thing i didn't get was the door panels, they were cloth, but when i sat in the drivers seat re was a huge blind spot, rear glass is way to small, the only color i really like is that black that i've seen on the commercial, the white one at the dealership was white, that auto didn't help it out much either

One thing about opinions is that everybody's got one Personally I think the New Max is TIGHT. I have not seen a car yet that I truly thought was perfect.

Personally, if I was getting a new car today, it would be the G35.

I at first didn't like them then when I kept on seeing them it started to grow on me...so I like the new max...just needed a bigger engine is all...too bad they didn't put it with a turbo or something that would have been tight but since they want to sell the max as the 30 and above people's car than that takes the fun out of all the young ones here(including me).
Shit i would like the black SE...but that's my opinion and I would make sure that I buy that shit standard and not automatic...

The new Maxima should have been a cheaper version of the G35. FWD sucks.
