Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
Hello again guys,
This is actually a rebuild project, an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA from tamiya. I bought this kit back in 1999, and given my modelling skill at the time, I wasnt quite satisfied with the final result. So after 14 years, I decided to rebuild this classic model car with new color, new wheels and slight modification on the exhaust pipe. The color was previously red but I then changed it to light gun metal from tamiya. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking. Best Regards Krishna Iskandana Perth, Western Australia Jakarta, Indonesia ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
Looks a little bit strange. The standard road body with bumpers on racing wheels (from BMW 635CSi Gr.A ?), which are too big for this small car.
The sponsor decals don't suit it too. Gitanes is a brand of French cigarettes, Elf is also a French company, and finally, Ferodo is a British company. It would be better to use any Italian sponsors. |

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
Nice job Krishna.
I like what you have done with it, and I REALLY like the fact that it doesn't look like every other red GTA ever built. You can never go wrong with BBS wheels, they seem to look right on just about everything, and some of us like our wheels in 21st century sizes. Who cares what nationality the sponsor decals are?? Wasn't Tyrrell an English team when they ran prominent ELF sponsorship on their F1 cars in the 70's? I love seeing the diversity of builds on this forum, you're always guaranteed to see something different when people express their personal style when building a model. Its so much better than rivet counters never finishing anything because something isn't perfect (in their eye). ![]() Keep them coming Krishna, I always enjoy your builds. Regards, Dan (near Perth, Western Australia)

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
I like the direction you went with it and props for tackling this as a rebuild project since that must have meant stripping paint.
Makes me want to get going on my Gunze version of this kit. |

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
I like it too, you made a modern classic sleeper , at least that's what I call it.
This is how you see them race now at classic races. And yes , an Alfa doesn't need to be red at all time. Nice restauration . Joka-1 |
