r.p.m.

what's the ideal r.p.m. reading when you're running about 100 km/hr? im using a 1.6 GL 1991 toyota corolla an d my r.p.m. reading at about 100 km/hr is about 3000 r.p.m. is this ok or what?thanks for any info.

Should be ok. It's running in 5th gear @ 3k...

I am trying to figure out what's up with my tranny tho..
My brother's also got a GTS but '90 (I had my tranny replaced)...
His 2nd gear maxes out @ 95 km/hr (7400 rpm)... Mine runs up to 115 km/hr (7400)...

If anyone's got an idea of what alternative tranny could've gone in, pls let me know.. not that I mind - seems better for 0-100 than my bro's T52 but it's still a mystery
