Aoshima's display in All Japan Model and Hobby Show 2013

Aoshima has posted up photos from their All Japan Model and Hobby Show 2013 display.

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...8352101&type=1

Lots of photos on the Murcielago, and some upcoming releases as well.

Thanks for the link!! I'm waiting ever so impatiently for that F1 GTR Long tail....I see there are some sellers on Ebay with Fujimi's available but I haven't see any pics of the actual model yet, anyone got any or seen some? Just wondering how it compares to their roadcar which from the one WIP I saw has lots of flaws. Wondering if the long tail GTR might be better and closer to the quality and detail level that Aoshima looks to be putting into theirs.

Re: Aoshima's display in All Japan Model and Hobby Show 2013

Fujimi's F1 GTR is curbside, while Aoshima is full detail, so it's hard to compare. From the box photos, we'll have a choice of four liveries, and the kit can be pre-ordered for around 3000 yen, while Aoshima is the pre-season test version, and is a bit more expensive than their Aventador kit (Y4500 to 5000?), and it's not expected to be released until next year.
Content of Fujimi kit is still unknown. They don't participate in hobby shows any more, and I haven't seen any picture of prototype or pre-production model yet.
We really don't know until both kits become available. Aoshima's Aventador is generally better than Fujimi's, but Aoshima botched the wheel, which is difficult to correct. Fujimi's F1 road car has lots of fixable inaccuracies, but the long-tail GTR kit could be designed by a better-skilled person, but there's always a chance of turning out worse! After all, it's Fujimi.

Me too!
(Sorry Mr. Aoshima, bringing a new model to a fair and asking for no pictures is a nonsense!)

Weren't the photo's just taken off of Aoshima's Facebook page? I guess someone failed to follow their own rules.

Re: Aoshima's display in All Japan Model and Hobby Show 2013

I hope this is a sign of things to come from Aoshima. That McLaren looks fantastic..!! So full of detail. They have answered my prayers with the Toyota Celica ST165. I've been wanting that car in 1/24 plastic for years. So glad to see it at last and that it looks so nice. Already got one on pre~order. Really hope they do more rally subjects. There are some big gaps to fill, especially in the Group 'B' era. How nice it would be to have a 1/24 Lancia Delta S4, Ford RS200, Audi S1 or a Metro 6R4 in plastic from Aoshima. Maybe I'm dreaming...

But dreaming is a part of being a model builder
