Re: Masking sheets, low tech high tack alternative
Hi Porschete
Have'nt got a european supplier for you (hope someone else does) but do have a low cost low tech alternative. Get some Avery Label paper sticker sheets from your general office supplies store. Besides the A4 sheets with precut small labels for price tags and envelopes Avery has A4's with no cuts. I always use them to test fit my (self made) decals, as the advantage is that you can run these through any type of printer, laser and inkjet. Recently I've started to use them as masking templates for windowframes. I mask the inside of the windows first with the broad tamiya tape, trace the outlines of with a magic marker. Remove the tape, scan them in and clean them up and draw perfect clean symmetrical window frames on the computer. then print as amny copies as you like You do need to put a new blade for each set of templates as the paper is a bit thicker but the cut and mask is realy clean and sharp. They are reasonably low tack, although you should not leave them on your object for more than a couple of hours. And you'd be surprised on how flexible these paper stickers can be....although not as flexible as tamiya masking tape for sure. with kind regards Tamar
