2005 Mazda 3 SP-23 emissions test... 3"NOT READY" codes

Hi everyone, I just had my check engine light come on a couple months ago, and now had to go thru inspection.... It started running very sluggish and no pep... I traced it to be the MAF sensor... Replaced it.... Now it is running PERFECT!!.... Also took off battery cable to clean it... Now, I tried to go thru inspection and am getting 3 "Not Ready" codes, and they can't do the test... Is there a way to get the codes to go away by resetting the computer or??? They said I must just drive it for a while or take it to the shop... 4 attempts at inspection, 500 miles later, still "not ready" codes... Any suggestions??? THANKS!!!!
