944 fender disassembly

I was wondering if there was a trick on taking off fenders on a 944 considering they got so much god damn undercoating on them. I took off all of the bolts and brackets. I dont want to rip up the fenders taking them off. Is their anything besides taking a pry bar or screw driver to the inner upper lip and prying it off? Do you guys suggest anything better? I took the fenders off my 924s before and it took me two weeks to get the creases out from banging on the fender. If you guys can help I would appreciate it. Thanks , Baker
