|
Fuel gauge will not read full.
After I installed a new fuel pump and sending unit, my fuel guage will only go to 7/8 full. The original sending unit when the car was brand new would send the fuel guage well passed the full line?
Any help or suggesting would be grealty appreciated. Its a XE v-6 70k

There is an adjustment that can be made at the sender to position the resistor board in relation to the float arm:
 I've never tinkered with it, but if you look on the right side of the photo you will see the "toothed" edge of a cam mechanism that pushes the resistor board down or lets it move up. There is a plastic "spring" at the other end of the board that puts tension on it. You can fiddle with that if you really want to mess around with it. Brent
