Suzuki Hayabusa

Hi everyone, this is my first bike build ever so i decided to also make my first wip. After watching all the incredibly wonderful bike builds of members here like SandroSilva and some many others, i decided to try one myself. I 'll be adding some detailing from t2m,top studio and crazy modeler. Please suggestions for the wip and the build itself are more than welcome so here we go...

raw materials!

Engine first

Removing molded bolts

Then drilling for T2M metal bolts

Some mr color semi-gloss for covers and gloss for oil filter

Oil filter masked and sprayed alclad dull alum.

Masking for spraying cyl head with alclad white alum.

Some bolts installation.

Decided to improve starter motor.

To be continued...

Re: Suzuki Hayabusa

Build update
Engine mounted on frame

Swing arm work

Rear shock done

Wheels ready

Exhaust work, some welds added

Ready for alclad chrome

Its a 2002 bike so a bit worn header

Decided to jump to the handle bars, all of it was airbrushed so it was quiet a masking challenge for me. First gloss black for the levers.

Then sprayed polished aluminum

I am happy with the end result

That's it for now, thanks for watching

Can I ask what T2M bolts you have used for the engine? Great detailing....

Thanks everyone!
John, the brakes are from crazy modeler, part# EP0024.

Riggers, for the engine I used .6mm hex bolt for oil pan. engine covers are .7mm hex and .9mm hex with flange. The .9mm are a bit too big but that was I had available at the time. There are some PE ones also from T2M.

Regards;
Rick

Re: Suzuki Hayabusa

Having owned the real bike way back in the year 2000, I can say that you're making an excellent job of this build. All the little detail touches you're adding and the colours you're using are absolutely spot on..!!! Looking forward to seeing more as you progress...
