Phantom Cobra

Yep, that is the name of the limited-edition Cobra that Carroll Shelby himself had a hand in developing.

The most potent version will have an S/C'd 427 with 725HP!

Read about it here:

Screw 80, I want to know how bad they spin from a stop, and if it can put that power to the ground or not. What good is it if you can't get grip???

Holy lord! that thing is just overkill. Daddy like. I also wonder if it can stay on the ground? Also wonder when the tranny tops out cause i bet it could do 200+ easy if it won't take off.

.

I'm sort of interested in what the engine and stick look like. Does it still have that awkward shifter like the old Cobras had?

it's most likely a different shifter...
that shifter was a mustang shifter (or something) turned backwards to work in the cobra...

i don't think you should worry about the cobra putting the power down.
on 60's technology and tires, with 500+ hp, it ran 0-100-0 in 13 seconds. that record stood for 30 years. and it won tons of races, so i don't think it's an issue to put the power down...

i'd rather build a kit cobra with a jag rear end for less...
