2010 on a KIA lot for sale

Shorod, you will know me from over on the LS forum and the problems the wife have had over many years.
We found this limited at a dealer for sale and they have had it for close to 60 days and they say its close to going to auction.
Make us wonder whats wrong with it. What little carfax I can see for free it has been back two times for electrical work.
Sure wish we could find the people who traded it in.

Yeah, it would be nice to identify the previous owner. There haven't been very many issues reported with the electrical systems that I'm aware of. I spend a fair amount of time on a couple of SHO-dedicated forums and there are very few electrical bugs. Many of the electrical system is common between the SHO and the Limited. The electrical issues that have been discussed are related more to software issues which get fixed via TSBs. The only issue that requires a hardware fix that I can recall is the knock sensor wires can chafe on the head and cause a stumble. That might be specific to the SHO engine, I'm not sure.

It seems the biggest complaint on the 2010, which would also apply to the Limited (but not SEL) is the chrome trim flaking around the taillights. Maybe that is the "electrical" issues that were reported?

Dont know if it would be worth paying for more info on the car or not.
Never used one of the online history reports.

Something I noticed while I was on that dealers lot was the way they pronounced Taurus.

Is it "tar-us"
Or "tore-us"

In my part of the country it's "tore-us". For the SHO version, it's "tore-a$$".

Well we missed that one, I lost my job after 37 years and I knew we couldn't get the financing. Dammit.

But........ I now have a new job making about 15k more a year.

Oh, BTW, the back massage option, where in the world do you turn it on and off?

Sucks that you lost your job after investing that much of your life in the business, but I'm glad to hear it seems to have put you in a better situation.

The "active contour" seat can be turned on from the side of the seat. There is a rocker switch and one press turns it on, a second press turns it off. Pressing the rocker to the rear activates the seat back massage, pressing forward activates the seat cushion massage feature. Maybe I have that backward.... It takes it a bit to inflate the first bladder to where you can feel it so be patient. After 20 minutes of use it will turn itself off to give the air compressor a rest.

There's a 4-way switch that will allow you to adjust 3 levels of air bladders in the seat back, including the lumbar support.
