Fedex Delievery van

Up next, and trying to see if I can get this done by the 21st for the club meeting even though I am not sure I am going to make it , I am doing a Toyota Hiace Fedex van , I cant take credit for the idea, someone on one of the FaceBook model groups did this, so I got the info on what to use from, I will be using one Aoshima's Hiace vans, they have one with steel wheels, and that is one I am using .

Few body pics

and the side windows in place, they will be painted over to make it a cargo van

now the fun part, I have to make the body into the cargo body, the Hiace vans have sliding doors on each side, cargo has one, so I have to delete one, not a big deal, just have to remove the door handle and fill in the door panel lines , easy enough right

Re: Fedex Delievery van

Looking good so far. I've always wanted to do a HiAce van. Ive seen a few lowered and they look real good. Good on you for resisting a modified one.

I haven't painted my wheels yet because I need to get them casted.

Re: Fedex Delievery van

Nice job, looking good so far.

I have been planning to get one of these Aoshima Hiaces for ages to build a replica of my daily work van.

Regards,
Dan

Re: Fedex Delievery van

I guess I should show pics that are not of the body, so here is the chassis in white primer,

and here is the chassis after a little bit of detail painting, nothing great, but it will do

and the wheels in some white paint(they come molded in black)

and the interior, cargo area painted white, and the cab area painted with a shade of grey of some sort

and the inside of the body, again, painted white and grey, this time it was Testors grey A/B

Body in white paint, Tamiya Pure White from the can was used, these pics are after doing a little wet sanding and polishing, sort screwed the pouch on the paint job, it was bad orange peel

and here are the decals that I made up, and by that I mean, finding the image's online and just resizing them, I did do all the text stuff myself, I think I got the font and colors very close , on the bad side, all I have is Testors crappy ass decal paper on hand.

Nice work so far, I love the original subject and the idea of building a car few of us could drive but many could cross

Re: Fedex Delievery van

Spent sometime on the decals last night, and after a lot of Micro Set, here is how it looks so far

And grill and front bumper in place, stripped the chrome, and did it in ALcald Aluminum

and made some shelves for the rear

Re: Fedex Delievery van

Looks great! There needs to be some boxes for rare, expensive wheels (like RAYS or Rotiform or something) and a big box full of Fujimi kits, haha! I love it. Great work!
