Question 17x7.5 SSR Competitions on '03 Civic

hey fellas, i'm new here. my girlfriend just got a brand new '03 civic ex coupe. i'm not too familiar with modding hondas, so i need your input (thanks much ahead of time)! i ordered eibach sportline springs and i want to order a set of ssr competition 17x7.5's. do you guys see any problem with this setup? will these wheels fit her civic with the eibach springs? are they too big or too wide? the guy at tirerack says they will fit, but i just want to make sure. i would appreciate all your input!

The tolerances will be alot less than the 17x7" wheel. With a 17x7.5" wheel you need a 43mm offset. Any more or less and you will be rubbing the outer fender wells or the inner fenderwells.

Also you should use a 205/40x17" tire instead of a 215/40x17" tire.

I never said SSR COmps came in 17x7". I'm just saying that a 17x7" wheel will have more clearnace than a 17x7.5" wheel.

I dont believe he is recommending 17x7 either, just letting him know he needs to offset it..

because SSR's are hella light weight, and just nice
