Paint stipper that doesn't affect putty or CA?

Is there a paint stripper that safely removes paint without harming any putty work or CA glue? I'm working on the tamiya xj220 kit right now and I need to strip the paint however I had to glue and putty the side skirts and make them one with the body as that's how the real car is, not separate like it was manufactured. I did a really solid job on on the body work and would like to avoid having to do it again. All layers of paint are lacquer. I know alcohol can work but I fear it may take centuries.

It's tamiya primer, then MM aluminum metalizer, then testors one coat clear.

Alcohol will work and probably not take as long as you think. I usually have great results with an overnight soak and scrub off the next morning with a toothbrush. I feel however that even alcohol may harm your putty work. It depends what putty/filler you have used..?? I used 2K polyester filler before and the alcohol hasn't harmed that whatsoever, but Tamiya putty and various others have all been removed by the alcohol..

I used a two part putty that you take an equal portion of each and rub them together. I believe it was milliput the silver and grey variety.

Sorry to hear that the metalizer didn't work for you.

I've never used or stripped Testors one coat. That said, 99% or 91% isopropyl is the first and probably only thing I'd bother using to strip that combination. If you're particularly worried about putty/primer work, I'd try wiping the body with an alcohol soaked paper towel. But it really shouldn't bother epoxy putty.

Yeah the metalizer seems to be finicky. I actually had a fantastic paint job with the stuff and it clear coated fine. But I had to strip it down because I didn't notice the side skirt issues with tamiya xj220 kit. The second time around I had a lot of problems with dust getting in the paint. I'd fix one part of debris only to trap a piece of dust on another spot. I think the paint by nature must have some sort of static charge that attracts dust.

For the record 91% alcohol has stripped the metalizer completely. It's still doing work on the primer though and I think I may just have to sand that down.
