Will this size tire and rims fit my car ??

hey .. i have a 2002 merucry cougar v-6 6cyl. ... i wanted to get a rim and tire set .. are 20" rims on 275/45/20 tires too big ?? if so can you please help me choos some good sizes ?? thanx 4 your help !!

I hava 98' Plymouth Breeze. I have sum 20" rims and I needa kno if thry'll fit and if so, wat size tire will fit. Sumone told me 215/35/20 is good enough but idk. Ny suggestions?

Mike welcome to AF. Instead of posting to a thread that has been dead for 5 years please start a new one. As for your tires and wheel look at what size the factory wheels and tires are. If they're 15 inch wheels and something like 205/65/15 then the easiest way is for every inch of wheel size you go up take 10 off the middle number to keep the same general diameter of the tire. Don't forget to think about the width of the wheel as when you turn the inside of the wheel might get bound up and rub really badly inside the wheel well.
