hi all,

my question here is regarding some tips or maybe a link for tutorials for some info on weathering techniques and general detailing of paintwork on models.
ive done a search but im not finding what i want.

i saw some great work on this thread

i really liked the underbody detailing.....
one question, what is the term 'wash' mean ? and how is it done?
is that to bring out more fine detail ??

thanks in advance.

Re: help with weathering/detailing

Washing something just means using very thinned paint, ink, or coloring on something so that capillary action pulls it in the little nooks and crannies to give the appearance of shadows and additional depth.
