po 1451 - need help quick
so as luck would have it I'm leaving for a week. My wife, over suppers says "oh by the way" the van has a check engine light on...
gawd.. so pulling the code it's a po1451..evap emission code of some type... just looking for any leads right now... anyone had this??

I had it, more than once, but on Escorts. Similar circuit, I'm sure.
First of all, if the engine is running OK... this ain't a show-stopper. It can wait until you get back. The circuit starts a small hose barb on the bottom of the throttle body. (The hose may be off.) Follow the hose to the solenoid valve ... it is usually the culprit. If not, come back. |
