Vortech Superchargers
I am stuck. I have been reading good things about the vortech superchargers and have sen a dyno sheet, the power curve is impressive, the only problem is, they want like 4000 for a charger with an aftercooler. Anyone know where i can get one for less, or would i be better off buying a revhard turbo kit for 2850.

personally, i'm biased towards s/c's, but honestly, you'll make more power (usually) w/ a turbo, but a s/c is a lot less complicated (again, usually). so, it makes more sense, especially on a 4cyl to go turbo.

Most people will say go turbo, and of course revhard is good. But this SC is better than most turbo kits. WAY better than Vortech. Since you have a B16 you should get the kit for a 99-00 Civic Si, correct? I think so. This SC gives your B16 atleast 280 BHP on a stock engine. Add a Header, HFC, and a good catback it it will be close to 300 considering how restrictive the stock muffler/manifold/cat would be on a FI car. It goes for 4000, but it is better than Vortech. It comes with the industry leading efficient air/air intercooler. It's all on their site, or you can order some more reading material - and they get it to you fast - I was surprised, only 2-3 days and I got mine. |
