Program 2012 Impala keys

I purchased 2 transponder keys from EBAY and will have them cut.
What is the CORRECT procedure for programming the keys to my 2012 Impala?

If you have a master key, it's simple.....GM has master and valet keys(usually a grey head)...you can't use this procedure with a valet key....

Insert master key into the ignition, turn to "on", wait two seconds, shut off and remove key.....then immediately insert new key and turn to on......should see SECURITY LIGHT in dash go out....turn to off, and then start car......same procedure for the other one.....

If master key is lost, it's a 30 minute procedure, where you insert new key, turn key to on, wait 10 minutes until the SECURITY LIGHT goes out, turn key to off, and then repeat 2 more times......(should have a battery jumper box on the vehicle for this procedure)...

Took both of my keys to the hardware store and had them cut. Fit the door which was a good sign. Programmed per your instructions. All keys start the car. Was the easiest program I have ever done. Just think the dealer wanted 47.00 each for a new key. I did it total 20.60. Thanks for your help.
