Tamiya Toyota 86 in Velocity Orange Replica of 1:1
I've finally (almost) completed the build up of the Tamiya Toyota 86 as a replica of my sisters new car.
All paints used were from Tamiya sprays including TS-metallic orange over AS-12 bare metal silver base and TS-13 Clear Just need to add the wipers, a few minor touch-ups and the wheel centre decals before I carefully pack it up and send it off on its 4000km journey to her. This will also be the first build I've completed in around 4 or 5 years, hopefully the first of many to come soon. Here's the real one.        Regards, Dan

Very nice job!
The 'Toyota' metal badge on the rear looks a little oversized. Just my  I'm sure she will be very pleased with it.

Yeah, it is oversized, It was the only Toyota badge I could find (from a HD AE86 Trueno PE set). The kit doesn't include it, neither does the HD 86 Photo Etch set. It seems to only be a Toyota Australia addition. Fortunately it's not quite so obvious in reality, unlike in a magnified photo. Regards, Dan

Great build. I guess Toyota Australia put that rear badge on, as the ones here in NZ don't have that badge and neither do the jap import ones.
