02 Express 1500 won't start

Driving down the road, sped up, stalled at light, started right back up, first time. Next day, started right up, drove 1 mile down road, engine died while driving, won't start. Brand new battery, plenty gas. Only thing was, check engine light was on, did'nt pass emissions, evaporative emissions system pressure too high or too low were the codes that came up. Could this be the problem? Turns over, just won't start.
