Make it stop!!!!!

For some reason my passenger side door keeps beepin. As in when you open your door while the car is on it will just beep and beep till you finally shut it. Well when you shut the door it still fuckin beeps. When you grab the door and tug on it to "close" it from the inside you can here it click and when I hit a bump or anything you hear it start beeping again. It's seriously pissin me off and I don't know how to stop it. Thanks

is there a fuse for it?? when the door is closed it either opens or closes the circuit so u can cut the wire to keep the ciruit open or join them to close it... the wires that go down to the sensor.

the only bad thing beine if you disable the door sensor it will prob disable the door lights if they run off the same sensor.. Im only guessing and offering ideas i havent done it b4 btw

Yea, i figured there is a door sensor somewhere but I can't seem to locate it

Has your car had any adjustments to the door recently? Sounds like the door isn’t shutting properly, you can adjust the U hook where the door latches on. Undo the 2 Philips screws and move the U hook more to the inside so that the door shuts tighter, the screws will be tough to loosen.

The other thing you need to look at is the contact for the black plastic “L” thing (sorry don’t know what it’s called), it sits besides the U hook. Make sure it moves in and out freely, this is the sensor that stops/starts as it tells the buzzer whether the door is open or closed. Sorry no pics but let me know if you need more help.

If you disconnect the shoulder belt, your car is supposed to beep at you. When that thing goes crazy, it'll keep beeping, even if the passenger shoulder belt is connected.
I yanked off the trim that goes next to the windshield, from the dash to the top of the car, and disconnected those two wires. The beeping stopped.

PPS-My car doesn't beep at all if you open the door when it's running or moving. Only when I disconnect my driver's shoulder belt (now that I pulled the plug on the passenger side).

flunky, you could also just unplug the wires from the sensor in the door jamb. Its just a little black plastic "L" Shaped thing. By unpluggin that, the beeping thing doesn't know when the door is open, it just thinks its closed all the time.

by the rear view mirror, where the seat belt lights are, pop that thing offand theres a lil circuit board in there with the buzzer on it just disconnect it i did i hate all that beeping

Don't disconnect the door-closed sensor (that black L-shaped switch on the door jamb). Also don't disconnect the buzzer or clip any wires... It's obviously not a sensor or wiring problem if it goes off when you hit bumps or when you tug on the door...

So like cyberrexer said, try adjusting the door strike (the loop of metal that the door clips into when it's closed). It can be moved up and down and side to side a little bit each way, so try moving it more towards the inside of the car.

Weird though, nothing beeps when I open my doors at all, only when the seat-belts are taken off... But I fixed that by removing the seatbelts all together and then disconnecting all the seat-belt wiring under the dash

Well it's still beeping and for some unknown reason I got so ticked off that I took off the door panel and disconnected the wiring inside the door. Bad idea. I removed a piece that even says "Do no remove" But it doesn't matter now that H4Bangin said that the little speaker is up there I'm tryin that method then. Oh btw update on the rex I have a new 2000 motor that me and my friends are going to drop in so now I'll have a little rex to drive around Pics will come in soon.

Dude... don't bother doing that...

Just go under your dash, on the passenger side, right next to the center console, there's a metal box with a big connector going to it... it's like a 20 pin connector or something, anyways, just unplug that and see what happens before you clip the wiring for the speaker.

hella funny, im having this same problem, i drop someone off they have to close the doorand i have to turn off the car and restart to make it stop, i dont think any of your guys methods work

And haven i dont think i see a circuit board thingy

when i get home i'll look in the service manual for a wiring diagram...there has to be a way to jump the circuit.

Trust me, unplugging the connector from the box under the dash will work. That's exactly what I had to do when I removed my OEM seat-belts after putting in my harnesses, the buzzer would not turn off AT ALL.

For me H4Bangin's method worked. It didn't stop the light from comin on in the cluster but it stopped that damn beeping sound. And if I still tug at the door then it will turn the open door off but it still lights up.
