02 Monte Carlo SS problem

I started to smell antifreeze one day but couldnt find a leak anywhere. Coolant level was fine. Couple more days go by same thing. Finally i see small drip, what i think is water pump. WRONG! The aluminum wishbone cracked from the engine mount. I did realize then that the bolt to the intake manifold was half out. After getting used bracket and tightening everything down. I now notice very slow drip from intake manifold gasket. Should i replace both upper and lower? Felt pro, or Rubber? Should i be driving the car at all? Doesnt over heat at all only a small drip. Any help would be appreciated

Re: 02 Monte Carlo SS problem

The LIM gasket will likely require replacement. Sooner would be better than later. If you are replacing the lower, the upper should be done at the same time.

Verify that that there are no traces of coolant in the engine oil. That can wipe out a set of main/rod bearings in short order.

Re: 02 Monte Carlo SS problem

Wasn't the gasket. It was the both of the plastic elbows that we're cracked.
