I have a 2003 Silverado 6.6 liter diesel with 190,000 on it and have been having problems with the gauges. On occasion the gauges that have an arm (mph, tach, battery, water temp, oil pressure, etc) would stay pinned at their starting point. The digital stuff (mileage, low fuel light, etc) would be fine. If I shut the truck off and re-started it all would be well. Yesterday I had the same problem and despite several re-starts the gauges remain pinned. Any thoughts out there? BTW, I'm a novice type who can change tires and oil but everything else is new to me. Thanks in advance.

since your not all that auto tech type find a auto electrical repair shop with experience with this. dealership does not repair these dash indicators. they only change parts. so what can happen is they may install someones dash panel not yours now you got a mileage issue and then that causes problems with the vehicle/registry . more B/S paper work. that is why it is best if you send out your dash to be repaired and then it is the same. |
