2005 stratus

the car might die and after it sets a couple minutes it will start and runs fine, and only does it once in a while not all the time the other thing is that something runs after the car is shut off and I don't think it is the fan it kind of sounds like the fuel pump but it is not. if anyone has a good idea on this please let me know

Check engine light on? If so what are the codes? It's normal for the fan to run after the engine is shut off.
