Radio Question
My son bought a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder and bought a new radio for the car. After installation, the installer said that the original factory amp was going bad and causing the new drivers side speaker to fade in and out. He said that we could either buy a new amp or he could just basically unhook the amp and wire the speaker (would just make it not have as much bass).
Made an appt to get this done, but in the meantime I called another installer to see what they would charge and he said that unless the vehicle came with a Bose radio (which it didn't) then it would not be the amp, but a bad speaker. Please help... not sure which installer is correct. Will cost $80 to have the speaker wired without the amp. Really don't want to have to pay this if the possibility of the problem just being a bad (new) speaker. Thanks |
