Rear seat removal. Please HELP!
I need help. I need to know how to remove the rear bench from a 97 civic. The back of the seats appear to be easy but I can't figure out where the bolts are for the bench....I'm desperate
I have some work I want to do to the interior and need (want) to start with the back seats.....

Once you take the top off there should be a bolt or screw in the the rear bottom of the bench. There should also be some hooks in the front of the seat, you'll have to tilt the seat forward once you get the screw out and pull the hooks out. Sometimes its a real bitch trying to get the seat out

Thats impossible to know, what kind of seats are you putting in? One of the guys in my car club has two racing seats in the back of his 2002 civic coupe and they seemed to fit alright. Lots of fabrication to make them work though but I've never really looked to see what they did to make it fit. Pretty much you'd have to try it yourself to see if it would work, I know it won't be easy mounting them though. Expecially since the gas tank is right under there, trust me I used to have a 90 hatch and I put integra seats in it and my dad drilled into the gas tank when we put the seats in. I told him he was going to but he didn't listen to me, o well a little bit of JB weld fixed it so whatever.
