Revell 1990 Mustang LX 5.0

I saw this kit in the corner of my eye at the LHS and I didn't think twice about buying it! I've always loved the notchback Fox bodies so I want to build one the way I'd want my real car to be.

My inspiration is a local notch that I followed for years and wanted to buy but never committed to. I like it's clean appearance and wheel choices:

I don't have any real progress but I thought about posting just to keep myself motivated

I can't find a suitable BBS RK wheel so I am set on this look when it ran 17x9 Cobra R's, from the Tamiya Mustang kit:

The 1:1 had full suspension including: Cobra calipers

Just messing with the Viper ACR wheels:

This car had a bone stock 5.0 motor:

I couldn't live with that in real life so I am going to do what I do best and bastardize it! LS7 from the C6 'Vette goes in!

Things I plan for the build:
-Some kind of aftermarket seats, like Recaros
-IRS from Revell Cobra kit
-body color: white, teal, black, silver or light blue undecided
-I am torn on leaving the side moldings body color or black
-Single or twin turbo?

Awesome! I am sure some folks will be annoyed with your engine choice, but who cares? I am looking forward to your treatment of this one! You always make such cool stuff. Pity there are none of those wheels in scale, they looks good on everything, especially that Mustang. Can't wait to see this progress!

The major problem with this kit is that Revell gave it a 2-3 inch chop on the roof.
