2002 impala squealing

I get a loud squaring noise from the front of the engine after it is up to temp. Thought it may be the a/c compressor, but it doesn't happen all the time. another weird thing is, if I hit the gas, it stops.
I changed the a/c compressor clutch, and nothing changed.

How does the belt look? Are the ribs cracked? Is the back glazed up? When the noise is happening, spray some brake cleaner on the belt and see if the noise goes away. If so, replace the belt. Also make sure the tensioner is ok, not binding or loose.

Replaced the belt, tensioner, and even the a/c compressor clutch. Still get the noise. Very loud. Sounds like it is coming from the head area now.

Is it a continuous noise? If so, remove the belt, start it, and see if the noise is still there. If it's gone, it has something to due with one of the belt driven parts. If it's still there, it's internal engine noise.
