Aoshima to release GT86 Rocket Bunny

Looks like Aoshima are entering the Toyota 86 Rocket Bunny Arena with 2 versions:

1) Rocket Bunny with Greddy exhaust and Enkei wheels: http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS00762/Aut

2) Rocket Bunny with Greddy exhaust and Volk wheels:

Re: Aoshima to release GT86 Rocket Bunny

No mention of engine in Aoshima's web site, only new mufflers. Judging from the list price (3200 yen vs 3000 for the engined version) I think it is going to be curbside.

I'm not too bothered yet, I will need to see the final product first. I am putting the work on my EightyOne kit on hold, though.

I hope they would release a new body with the fender flares molded on like they did with the Vertex Ridge S15 Silvia. From my experience with their VIP kits, if the flares are separate parts they'd probably need just as much work as the resin ones.

Re: Aoshima to release GT86 Rocket Bunny

SON OF A %&#$@!!!! After buying the 81 Transkit coz I didnt think Aoshima (or Fujimi) would mold it, NOW they decide to listen to my emails telling them they should do it!! Hope the fender flares are molded to the body otherwise its not worth buying.
& if it doesnt come with an engine you could always buy the Aoshima 86 with Engine & swap them over

Re: Aoshima to release GT86 Rocket Bunny

Ordered both~

<- The idiot who's going to have 4 different version of Rocket bunny 86, lol?

Last time I've made an Aoshima wide body anything was their TRD N2 AE86, and the over fenders for that were not molded to the body, yet it was pleasant to work with and didn't look too thick. Heck, the body was even pre-trimmed for the over fenders and wider wheels. I have faith in them.

I am going to have three, if HLJ ever restocks it, I pre ordered both , the image's were not posted yet when I ordered mine

I have plans for two out the three, I think one will included an engine swap, been planing an engine swap for awhile now, just been waiting for the w/engine version to come out, and again, if HLJ would get my order to FedEx , I would have mine

Re: Aoshima to release GT86 Rocket Bunny

Aoshima has just announced a collaboration with EightyOne on September releases in their Facebook page.

Wonder if that has anything to do with these 2 kits?

Re: Aoshima to release GT86 Rocket Bunny

I've just read the EightyOne/Aoshima collaboration on FB.

Amazing that the two kits together (with a base kit) are cheaper than just one of the EightyOne transkits!

Re: Aoshima to release GT86 Rocket Bunny

^ We don't know what Aoshima is really hinting at with just a jpeg of the two companies logos together until they confirm it. But if that's what's really is happening, all of us who already bought the EightyOne transkit has been royally screwed.

Also, EightyOne just released new resin rims sets, and Volk Racing G25 is one of them, the same wheels in Aoshima's Greddy RB kit.

And the plot thickens~

Agreed, Its has to be something else that has to do with 81, they announced the RB kits on their FaceBook already, so I cant see it having to with those kits at this time
